Hospitalization / Pre-hospitalization
To make it easier for those who arrive to be hospitalized, as well as to offer personalized service for the customer and for the assistant physician, Clínica São Vicente offers PRE-HOSPITALIZATION service for cases that shall be clinically treated or that need surgery. Once the physician defines the date and books a room or the surgery room, the service team contacts the patient and requests all necessary information that includes obtaining permissions from the insurance company. Upon arrival at the Clinic, all necessary steps shall have been taken in order to be hospitalized without delays.
For patients who arrive at the ER, the physician on duty, after identifying the need to hospitalize the patient, requests the presence of the patient’s assistant (private) physician. Otherwise, the Clinic has professionals of many specialties to accompany the patient. The fees are preferably paid by the patient, whenever the insurance company allows the medical fees to be reimbursed.
In this situation, the Customer Service department will also handle all the necessary procedures with the insurance company. This service is open 24 hours.

Private Nurses
If the patient prefers private nurses, Clínica São Vicente has professionals specifically for this service, apart from a listing of registered companies. The cost of this service is usually not covered by the insurance companies and must be paid for by the customer.
Accompanying persons
The clinic only allows one accompanying person per apartment, to not affect the patient’s treatment. The hospitalization staff provides all the orientation regarding timetables, meals, costs and the benefits offered by the insurance company, apart from being available during all the patient’s hospitalization period at the Clinic.
Discharge
Once discharge is communicated by the private physician, the customer service and billing sectors prepare the customer’s bill. The process takes approximately 40 minutes, and ends once the bills or the extras are paid for, when the patient has insurance. If discharge is exceptionally given after 7pm, the patient or guardian has the option of returning another day to close the bill, or to receive it thought a bank payment or to use the Clínica São Vicente courier service.
Reception and Operator
At any time of the day or night, the Reception staff is on-call to receive and give guidance to patients or visitors, apart from supporting the medical offices located at the Clinic. You shall always receive good service by calling (21) 2529-4422, (21) 2529-4401 or (21) 2529-4402 and your requests shall be promptly dealt with.
